About Us

Maybe Angels was founded in the fall of 2019 by Courtney Dee and Alyssa Basiorka. Courtney was a follower of the law of attraction for many years and was looking for clothes that supported her beliefs. She desired fun graphics that reminded her of the merch she would get from her favorite bands, but couldn’t ﬁnd anything comparable in the current market. That's when she decided to make her own. She approached her life-long friend, Alyssa, who was in school for graphic design at the time to help bring her ideas to life. Many late nights over pop-punk tunes and coffee later, Maybe Angels came to be.

Starting a clothing brand was very rewarding for the both of them, but it didn't come without any struggles. Picking the right garments, deciding on manufacturers, and doing everything needed to start a business was a lot of work, but it was fun. However, not long after creating the brand, COVID made its way to the United States and cases were confirmed not far from their hometown of Lemont, IL. After working on Maybe Angels for months, the duo decided to put their dream to a halt while trying to navigate the new way of life the pandemic brought. From career changes, struggles with mental health, and devastating losses, 2020 and 2021 really tested the both of them. But with struggles came the opportunity to grow, and through the hard times they remembered to trust the guidance and the timing of the universe. Towards the end of 2021 they picked right back up where they left off, and it brought them back to a time before the pandemic-- high on the vibrations of their creativity and their sense of purpose.

Now in 2022, they are excited to finally share Maybe Angels with you. The name "Maybe Angels" was originally inspired by a song, and the belief that angels were guiding them to create this brand to share with the world. All designs are original, and all messages have meaning.
